when i'm rapping about politics, i stress that voting for a representative is probably the least important part of the process. i believe that what party's candidate is to serve is far less important than how they vote from issue to issue.

granted, that is going to be affected by party affiliation but it also should be affected by the expressed will of the district's constituents.

this is one of those bills that has people alarmed about their freedoms --- specifically in growing their own food and their choice of imported food resources. i haven't read the bill yet, so there might be more, but those were the concerns of the person who tipped me to this bill.

from what little i've seen , this is one of those bills that if the people stay silent during the legislative process, they are likely to be displeased with the finished product when it becomes law.

this is the link to the bill as it stands:

The link doesn't work. You're right about voting. That's the job interview & hiring process. It's the only job that the employer takes great pride in finding the right guy, then doesn't give any feedback about how he's doing for two years.

good insight, amigo.

sorry about the link. i was coming back with a fresh one. there are two different bills. one for each house.

someone at offtopic asserted that there is a highly disreputable lobbying group supporting the bill. the person who told me about it was concerned about regulatory intrusion into private gardens, small farms and foreign food sources.

the first title of the bill outlines a whole new bureaucracy to enforce the new regulations. that alone set me tootling for air support. good to see you, dude. hope this finds you and the missus in a happy, healthy, prosperous holiday season.

i've already posted this on three boards, have about a half dozen more and am open to suggestion as to who else needs to be chewing on this in their blab zones.

this is the link to the library of congress thomas page index for all legislation. definitely a must bookmark for any forum warrior who wants to be credible.

just type the name or number of any bill you're interested in the search window.
