Is this Catalonian climax commercial degrading, or is it a fun way to get out the youth vote? Watch below and decide.

A video showing a young woman "simulating an orgasm" in order to encourage voting is under fire from both sides of the political spectrum in Spain, the BBC is reporting.

The video, created by the Young Socialists of Catalonia, shows a woman getting hot and bothered while voting in this month's upcoming regional elections. After she slides her vote into the box, the video concludes, "Voting is a pleasure." (Scroll down to watch.)
The ad is getting both conservative and liberal parties worked up. Both have condemned the video as insulting to women. According to the BBC:
The leader of the conservative opposition Popular Party of Catalonia, Alicia Sanchez-Camacho, said the video was an "attack on the dignity of women". The health minister, Leire Pajin, who is a Socialist, called on all parties to show respect for women and to act responsibly.

Also, according to the Telegraph, the "Catalan nationalist Convergence and Union coalition condemned the video as 'filth'." Is this Catalonian climax commercial degrading, or is it a fun way to get out the youth vote? Watch below and decide.

It's really not a big deal over here. Porn is shown on terrestrial TV after 9pm. Kids don't go to bed here until midnight either. And it's not uncommon to see boobage during the lunch time news.

I think it's a fun way to get kids interested in politics.

I'd like to see who the candiate is. :)

Funny thing about so called "porn" is that it is in the eye of the beholder. In some areas of Malaysia, when you go to a movie and there is a love scene, instead of showing the scene, there will be a dance scene edited into the movie in place of the scene. Some kissing scenes will be edited out. Goofy as hell, if you ask me. One minute you are getting into what is about to happen and the next, there will be some awful dance number. Disconcerting as hell.

I thought that was normal. I always break into song in place of sex.
 
I can't watch the video due to dial up..... but I do believe to make it justifiable.... there should also be a good looking man doing the same thing..... perhaps right across from the woman..... you know... the camera pans to her... then to him.... then to her.... then to him..... and OMG! They orgasm simultaneously! Now that would be a hoot! :D

..... then they could show that she didn't vote for whomever he voted for just to throw people off. Bwahahahahahaha...... You know.... Sort of like when people are fantasizing about making love with someone else while making love with their significant other.

Nah it doesn't look filthy. Although if I was sitting in the room watching it with my parents that would be awkward as hell lol. I think kids would just be confused as to why she was breathing like that and looking so happy at putting a piece of paper in a box lol.

definitely soft core -- i didn't have the sound on, so i have no idea what was said and can't comment on its merit for getting out the young vote.

the idea of getting off on your vote is pretty original. i like it. maybe we'll get larry sinclair to do a similar to spoof obama's reelection.
