I have reached a point I need reading glasses for any fine print and any really close detail work. Anyone else like me? Every time I go to put them on I have to clean them of either fingerprints or dust. Do you suffer with that as well?

I fear that with my parents "okay" vision I might need the glasses sooner or later
been using them for 10 years
the good news according to my doctor is that at my age i am about at the end of the deterioration
tis amazing how tiny stuff looks now that used to be a piece of cake ages ago to read.
it sucks and is a pain in the ass but I am not gonna risk surgery to attempt to fix it.

is that the laser surgery?
My distance is still relatively good. The doctor told me as you age your eyes lose elasticity to focus up close.
my mom uses reading glasses, but she can see "fine" without them. she's been wearing glasses since she was in her forties. he brother uses readers, but his vision isn't all that bad, meanwhile Auntie thinks her vision is just fine as long as you are up close to her, a little too proud for readers? I saw her slip a pair on tho'....
I have to wear cheaters for up close reading now too.... It sucks. In fact, I haven't really picked up a book to read since as it depresses me

Well duhhhh....... I haven't been 16 in decades.
Good to know your distance is still relatively good. It seems, mine gets worst every year especially when it's dark or starting to get dark [dusk/dawn] When driving, all i see are like overlapping shadows and i am slow determining which lane is which when changing lanes. Bad!!!
I have a lot of trouble with night driving. I use glasses from time to time but it is a condition of my past treatments which they said could affect my vision in my twenties.
My brother wears them full time and I think my dad is supposed to, also. Mom's are just for reading but she almost never wears them and she's so funny when I ask her to read something 'cause I'll hold it where she used to read and then she'll grab my hand and reach it as far away from my body as possible and say "Nope, still not far enough, hang on, need my glasses."

I have had glasses my since I was 7... so I am used to that part... I went and got my eyes checked in February and I was informed I needed bifocals..... I looked at him and said.. NO I can't need them.. I am not even 30 yet.... he laughed and said you do. I asked if I could have two pairs one with the bifocal prescription and one with my normal prescription. He said yes.. So if you see me in black frames.. regular glasses.. if you see me in light purple ones... my cheaters...

I have that same issue. Every time I pick them up to put them on they have to be cleaned...
i have cleaning clothes everywhere
I always am cleaning my glasses... ... with baby around there are finger prints on finger prints.. :surrender
I wear reading glasses, they also double as TV and Computer glasses. Acually, I never wear them for reading lol.
but how would you find them if you needed them, because if you needed them it would be because your glasses were dirty ergo you could not see properly hence the need to look for something hampered by the inability to do so
