I am NOT good at this sort of thing.

The boy has a school project due...ummm....in 2 days.:(

He/we have to make a toy out of household items or cardboard or whatever that has parts that..

move, roll, fly, spin, bounce, push or pull:willy_nilly:

You can copy toy or game you already have.

I have NO idea...I thought of a puppet/marionnette out of toilet rolls or something, and..

Thats it

Does anyone have any ideas, or better still, can anyone make it and get it to me within 2 days...:D

TIA

When I was a kid we made kites out of newspaper & wood dowels.
We would make cars out of most anything if we could find jar lids that were the same diameter.

yep, any household items, or you can make it out of wood and cardboard...whatever you like.

You can make a board game if you want too....as long as its a toy, and you make it yourself.

Keep em coming...I like the jar lid car Idea...they have made kites at school already

I understand that and I'm sure the teachers are not looking for a perfect prototype considering the age group.

I only asked for ideas...not perfect prototypes...thanks for your contribution.
I think its the first time in neary 2 years on the boards you have ever responded to one of my posts..funny that.:)

DO you have an idea....or are you just going to have a dig?

Relatively easy to make something similar to a ring toss or some other game of semi-skill.

now THATS a great idea...and something he can work out himself. I only wanted the ideas of a toy to make....not a whole friggin blueprint and detailed instructions...:willy_nilly:;)

Thanks again.

Easy girlie

You will need

1 Egg carton
2 toilet rolls
peice of string
paint if he wants to make it look cool.

Cut the egg carton in half so its 6 eggs long as apposed to 12.
cut the two toilet rolls in half
Use the four toilet roll parts as wheels attatch them with tack or sticky tape whatever
And thread the string through the front part of the car

He can pull it with the string or push it with his hand :D

All fantastic ideas...and ones that he can definitely do himself.:thumbup

I will NOT be helping after making 16 eagle wings for the school play..just supervising.
