Think about it for a second. We can really only expect to receive unconditional love from God and our dogs. No matter how we long for unconditional love, realistically speaking, it's not to be found from another human being. We don't give and we don't get unconditional love from people. Because we are human there are limits to the kind of love we are capable of giving. The only place here on earth where we can be assured that we are loved, even when we are not at all loveable, is from a dog. A dog never judges, never with holds affection, never ignores us. To our dogs we are the most important person in the world and they want nothing more than to please us. It matters not to our dog if we are fat or skinny, beautiful or ugly, popular or ignored by everyone in the world, sinner or saint...Nothing matters to our dog but us warts and all.
I have had a dog all my life and cannot imagine life without one. Husbands, lovers and friends have come and gone but the one constant in my life has been the love and devotion of my dog. Every sad and lonely person in the world would be less sad and lonely if there was a dog to share his life with him.

My children and family have my love...........unconditionally!! ( and I know for a fact that I've got theirs) That being said, I do have a dog, her name is Lucy and I love her with every thing that I am. She's a 5 year old pomeranian and she's precious to me.....
