asking a friend whats going on between her and her husband when her hubby posts a feed sounding like they're having trouble?

depends on how close you are to said friend. for safer measures, id ask a simple "everything OK?" in a friendly manner. if they ask why, proceed with your concerns ending with "i was just worried and wanted to make sure you were alright"

well ive known her for almost 10 years. I should have posted this before i sent the message :ninja And i know somethings not right but ive never asked until now.

If you're close to her then yeah you should ask, she should have enough trust in you having known you for ten years.
That makes the most sense to me.

That all depends on whether this friend of 10 years was a real friend or a network friend.
