It makes more sense to me if I call myself an O-T-zeder, because there's the consonant between the 'ze' part and the 'er' part. It's like Arabic, their letters follow a consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel pattern lol

Because when you sing the alphabet as a kid "zee" rhymes better with "vee"...and you probably learned from Sesame Street..
My girls learned "zee" but soon changed to the RIGHT pronunciation of ZED when they started school.
