Stupid Shit You Got Detention For In School

I was suspended for 3 days for calling the principle by his first name. They said it was disrespectful

thats a bit shit. we don't really have detention. we get punishment exercises that we gotta do at home. if your in primary school its like "i must not..." over and over.. its 2 full A4 pages of text about schools rules and stuff that you gotta copy out word for work.

i got given lines in primary school cos we were told to do our drawings in silence. and the boy next to me turned round to tell me he liked my picture and we both got lines. :mad

anyone ever had an in school suspension... One of the most useless punishments EVER!

I was already in deep shit in 8th grade (slipping grades and no high school would accept me) I forgot to get a detention slip signed and my teacher called me on it and told me to go to the principals office. She told me to call my folks and we would have a talk. I was told not to come back to school until I had my head screwed on properly. Since it was Wednesday my dad let me take the rest of the week off. He treated me to a relaxed world of bowling and video games. He knew I was trying and the fact that these nuns won't be living my life, enjoy it while you can. new respect for dad and life after that. I graduated that middle school and kicked ass until I was a senior in high school (when dad found out about his cancer)

I got sent to the Principles office for not standing for the Pledge of Allegiance once but was not detained. Early political activist (not really). ;) I imagine teachers hated detention, just something else for them to do.
