That's really cool! Have you ever tried to get a shot of a butterfly in flight?

Really? I didn't think their wing speed was THAT fast. :unsure: If Guyzerr can stop a hummingbird's wings I would think a butterfly would be possible too.

But most people do get them, including me with a crummy tamron lens

well i was after a red admiral in a budliea patch with the macro lens on.....and that lens is pretty fast:nod:

You did not answer my question, how did you get this shot? Did the bug just hover for you? My first impression was that it was a honey bee, but probably not.

I'm thinkin' he plucked the wings of what ever the hell it is and then stuck a pin in the far side. The pin is stuck through something so it holds the bug in place making it look like it's in flight. You can't trust photographers no mo cuz they will go to great lengths to make a shot look like a shot... so I'm told.You did not answer my question, how did you get this shot?
