Here is the difference, not one top MMA striker has ever talked shit about the skills of boxers, not one thought they could jump in the ring and turn the boxing world upside down. Boxing has fealt threatened by MMA for several years and have as a majority, have talked a ton of shit in a very dignified and smarmy way. Boxing got it's reality check tonight as have and would any practitioner that is an expert in one art form.

For me it;s awesome in exponential terms, not only did my all time fav fighter win, but he put the stamp down on allot of people who have been blowing hot steam for years not having a clue what they are talking about.

this is definitely a big victory for MMA, Boxers and boxing fans will just chalk it up to Toney being passed his prime though I think, they'll go to any lengths to not give MMA any credit, I'm as fucking happy as can be right now, I'm about to drink some coke and watch Couture/Toney another 50 times!

LOL, well the washed up argument does not work when their guy held the top belt more recently and was 5 years younger.

Matters not. the boxing elites will say what they will say, but their smugness will cost them and the world just saw what really happens, Art was a top 5 boxer in UFC 1, and those guys have not learned a damn thing since, and doubt they ever will.

Agreed, nothing is more emasculating to a guy who goes up against a wrestler and gets beat down. I think there is something in the mental process of a man that realizes that this guy could rape them if he chose to and there is nothing they can do about it
