I waited 8 hours in the blazing heat to try and get at least one decent shot of this magnificent aircraft. Unfortunately I had more sunlight in front of me than I did behind so to that end it was a real disappointment. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity never less and a real joy to see it fly.

Regardless of the lighting situation those are still some impressive shots. The second one is a beaut. :thumbup I think the mountain in the last shot is a bit too over powering and takes away from the airplane.

Well Zirc beauty is in the eye of the beer holder as they say. I actually like that big stone in the shot and worked at getting the timing just right. I wanted it smack dab in the middle and I came pretty close.

Well Zirc beauty is in the eye of the beer holder as they say. I actually like that big stone in the shot and worked at getting the timing just right. I wanted it smack dab in the middle and I came pretty close.
True dat. I've taken pictures that I think are super cool and others don't like them. The other mountain pic just works better for me. :)

Your pics turned out a lot better than Jim's.

I didn't even have to leave our drive to see the Lancaster go by... or to hear it roar!
