Depends how you define stronger. If we are talking physically the average adult male is stronger than the average adult female.

And I believe the people with the highest intellects on the planet tend to be male but I don't know.

Well if they are male cows they'll be at the bar with their buddies and home late. If they're female then they're probably home doing the dishes. And when the male cows get home I'm sure it will be the female cows that will be the stronger sex at that point in time.

as a sufferer of gout (stop laughing) which has been called by even female physicians a "worse pain than childbirth" (source: my imagination) , I take offense at the insinuation that men would wuss out.

especially given just how many women these days are choosing that option for no good reason

I agree...one way is you can get people to give an idea of how much it hurts with some kind of rating scale maybe? But then again, people's idea of 'strong pain' varies from person to person.
