NHL Free Agent Frenzy

Well, it's July 1. Besides being Canada day it's also the day that teams can start signing free agents. So far:

• Martin Biron signed with the NY Rangers for 2 years, $875K per
• Dan Paille signed with Boston for 2 years, $1.075M per
• Sergei Gonchar signed with Ottawa for 3 years, $5.5M per
• Alex Tanguay signed with Calgary for 1 year, $1.7M

The Flames get Tanguay back. He's one of those skilled players that the Flames always seem to be lacking. He had his best season to date when he played in Calgary but he never got along with Keenan. Since Keenan is no longer with the Flames perhaps Tanguay can do even better.

Still waiting on Kovalchuk to sign. I am hoping and praying he doesn't go to Calgary. :ninja
