I've got some serious plans if I win the lotto.

I'd give both my Mom and Stepdad and Dad and Stepmom a nice little chunk to do with as they please. Both of my brothers would also get a smaller chunk and I'd put a trust fund in my little sis's name. My best friend would get a cut as well.

I'd donate a percentage to a charity of course, or perhaps a few different ones.

I'd buy a house here in Cincy, one in Florida (directly on the beach) and one in the mountains somewhere.

I'd buy a motorcycle, as well as a car and an SUV, and maybe even a quad.

After the houses are built then I'd be taking trips and living the good life. Take up golf, go shopping whenever and wherever.

Can you tell I've thought about it? :D

I would give a large chunk to a number of charities, some local some not. I'd have 2-3 houses and several vehicles and boats.

My FP advised me NOT to withdraw the money I had put aside for my kids when the shit was hitting the fan. He told me that because I didnt intend to use it for a few years it would be safe...

I wish I'd listened to my gut instead of his "expert" advice.:mad:thumbdown

All right, so this is a primary fantasy of a lot of people. The question is , in the end would you be happier? Maybe, maybe not. Look at all the heart ache all those rich movie stars must endure. While money takes care of physical needs, if you don't blow it in a couple of years, there is more to us than taking it easy. :D

If I won the lottery.... Big Time of course....

First of all.... I wouldn't tell anyone other than immediate family and friends.

I'd quit my job..... and give them their two week's notice of course.

I'd plan an extravagant month long vacation and take my whole family and very close friends.

Then once the reality hit.... I'd make a list. Yes. I am a list person. :D

1. Pay off everyone's debts (immediate family/friends)

2. Buy or have built a new home and a couple of vacation homes

3. Donate to Charity

4. Open trust funds for family members to last their lifetimes

5. Invest with the help of a wise trusted financial planner

6. Shop Shop Shop (New clothes, jewelry, furniture, cars, etc.)


Ah yes. If only........ :nod:

I would buy the Canon 1D MkIII, yup, not mark IV seems like they are having problems with that one, Canon 5D Mk II, though I am not into the video side..Canon 7D, and one time over of every Canon lenses, build my own home to my specs, at least one or two rooms for a photo studio(s), travel the world, see if I can get a trip to outer space

If I won the lottery, I'd first want to remain annonymous. I do not want all the cunts I know coming and telling me they want money and I do not want to be in the papers advertising the fact I have money.

Then I'd buy family and friends presents
A house
Clothes
A car and I'll learn how to drive becuase that might be useful
Pay to go to Uni not come out with debt
Charity
Holidays to the places I want to go (Finland, America, Greece, Italy, Australia and so on)
