How can something be so good off the bone and on sandwiches, be so totally bland when it comes to it being ground for burgers? Robin Millers doing a three or four night meals using ground turkey. I think I'd cringe.

I've had flavorful and delicious Turkey burgers :D

He must be doing it wrong, or you are... whoever is cooking them that they taste bland.

Probably need some form of a fat thrown in. That is part of what makes up a burger and turkey is lean.

Least that would be my take on it. If I am not mistaken when a friend of mine makes venison burger he has to find some fat to toss in with it.

Isn't putting bacon fat in a turkey burger defeating the purpose? I might aswell eat a beef burger. Not that id eat a turkey burger very often.

no, stop it

The Turks committed a horrendous genocide against the Armenians ( about 2 million were killed) during World War I and used them as scapegoats for their losses against the Russians.

Sad thing is, Turkey still denies it till this day, and the United States doesn't press them on the issue one bit because they're an ally.

I rather like ground turkey. I replace ground beef with it in most of my recipes. I actually made a PHENOMENAL turkey burger a few weeks back.

coming from a heavily spice culture, we think everything is bland unless you put stuff if in.

however I have realized that most yankees think it has to have grease to be flavorful

to me, not matter how much fat or grease, it doesn't have flavor without garlic, onions, bell pepper, cayenne, salt, celery, parsley - shit - something!

you could put mint in them and make greek burgers...yum....

Turkey burgers have to be seasoned properly in order to not be bland. I actually prefer ground turkey and it USED to be cheaper than ground beef...now it's so damn expensive, I never buy it. :(

I dunno... Id hafta drop it in marinate... I think seasonings don't take away from the taste of the bland meat.
