Not to invite myself to your party or anything, but I'll bring lots of BEER. :D

Can I have some steak and ale pie? Maybe some steak and kidney pie as well? :D

What's a crumpet? :dunno

Crumpets are yummy.. they are kinda like english muffins and pancakes combined.. or that's the only way I can kinda think of how to explain them..

That is not my thing...

Jim orders it when we got to a tavern in Banff.. I cringe the whole time he's eating it.

According to wikipedia, A crumpet is a savoury griddle cake made from flour and yeast. It is eaten mainly in the United Kingdom and other nations of the Commonwealth. A crumpet in this area is similar in appearance (but not taste) to a North American pancake.

And they may have been an Anglo-Saxon invention. And they are not to be confused with a Scottish Crumpet (which is a pancake really).

They are normally eaten hot with lashings of butter. A secondary topping such as jam, marmite, cheese or marmalade etc may be added.

I don't drink beer. But I'll happily accept wine, whiskey, vodka and rum.

I don't really like steak and kidney pie :yuk
