If I spread all my fingers, from the tip of my pinky to the tip of my thumb is 7.5 inches. I'm estimating about three inches across the palm? I think I have big hands for a girl.

No I just notice when I shake hands sometimes it feels like grabbing a ham other times it feels like you are shaking hands with a child.

I'm very particular about shaking hands. You should shake with a firm grip regardless of whether you are a man or a woman shaking hands with a man or a woman. I find most women have very loose grips, and when I shake hands with a guy, mostly the civilian ones, they don't squeeze firmly. Everyone in the military has good, firm grips. I feel cheated, and disrespected, when a man offers me a weak shake.

I have tiny hands. I generally buy children's gloves because adult womens gloves are always too large. When I buy rings I have to buy a size 4.
