gosh..I don't get why people hate Twilight just for what it is..it's just a book...sheesh...I find it really annoying..it's not crap to me, it's just a book series
Makes me crack up.And, at the same time, a little sad.

Just like Stephen King. He's not a great writer at all, but he's an excellent story teller. His books are far from literary works of art but the stories draw you in and keep you coming back for more.
Stephen King rocks. The Stand (the uncut version) is my favorite read by him also. It's almost embarrassing how many times I've re-read that book over the last three decades![]()
Aren't we due for another Steven King adaptation?
On the subject of writers who are better storytellers than writers, anyone ever read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson? It's extremely tongue-in-cheek (the main character is a pizza delivery guy/hacker with the name Hiro Protagonist). The author said it was originally going to be a graphic novel but worked better as he wrote it. I'm not a big fan of cyberpunk, but this one took that form to absurd but very readable levels.
tim :eek
It gives me terrible nightmares. Every time I pick it up, I know I won't sleep for a week, but I can never stop myself. I've probably read that book 10-15 times since I was twelve or so.
The Stand never gave me nightmares. "It" did..I didn't walk my dog near a storm drain for years after reading that book :24:
