It's quality over quantity. I normally only write about 500-750 words on Englsih Langauge and Literature essays and get C-A grades whereas other people write about 1,000 and don't do well.

yes but you dont get it. appently i write too much. i wrote a story and ive written too much? whats up with that?
and yes. i know quality of quntity but thats not the point. its like she doesnt even read it all...

My GCSE teacher would refuse to mark our work if we wrote too much becuase someone handed in a 12 page essay. And at A Levels they are very picky about word counts.

but it was a fantasy story i made sure i put lots and lots of detail in it. like she wanted. and then i get told its too long and its terrible. (well she might as well have said that).

For my GCSE they made us write a short story about Hurricane Katrina. I had a massive fight with my teacher about it because my story was about a mother who was trapped and could hear her child in the room next to her and then at the end there was a twist and she was actually dead the whole time.

I thought it was a fantastic story but I wasn't allowed it and had to re-write it so it was happy at the ending.
