personally, Ray Bourque going to the AVs in 2000 killed me as a Bruins fan. though he almost went to the Red Wings. Yes, I still have my Ray Bourque Avs jersey and I had to cheer on Roy that year (which was tough!)

The Wings will be a force in the playoffs

They lost 3 significant players to free agency and were decimated by injuries. I think they have one of the all time best coaches of any sport in Babcock and they will make like difficult for those who oppose them if they finally stay healthy.

I have to say the Wings/Hawks game was a barn burner yesterday! I love watching the Hawks (despite Marianne Hoser) play...they remind me a lot of the Pens they way they've chosen to rebuild with youth and a few solid vets. I really thought they were going to pull off a tie in regulation when they scored the fourth goal. Detroit really looked...well...like Detroit again yesterday too. Really good game to watch!

Almost enjoyed that as much as the Pens game! Almost. ;)

Still a bit disappointed in Cookie though.

As far as favorite Stanley Cup series...hmm...I'll have to ponder that one. ;)

If I'm just talking Pens Stanley cup victories, the most recent one was more emotional to me than the other two. Yeah, yeah, I know there are more important things in life to get emotional about but there is something about this team in particular and that game 7 win in Detroit that was simply...ahhh! There was just so much drama! One, we were playing the team that defeated us on our own ice in game 6 the year before, two Hossa, three the odds were not in our favor but the boys persevered and won it. Plus, the homecoming parade and the aftermath was RIDONKULOUS and just made you proud to be a Pittsburgher. That's it...I'm getting verklempt...talk amongst yourselves...I'll give you a topic...Duran Duran is neither a Duran or a Duran...discuss.

Duran Duran, Jane Fonda, Vietnam...did I do right?
all aside, when the Bruins played Edmonton in 1988 they had no chance two years later they should have mopped the floor with them, but Messier pulled it off...

and the Bruins lose to the Make Beliefs...this road trip will not end good...and of course the locals are calling for the firing of Julien. wtf. you cannot expect a great year after year and have a hiccup and blame it on the coach. some of these fans are true idiots. enough talk about firing Julien make the playoffs (first and foremost) do some trading)after the season) and get a fucking goal scorer!

and for fucks sake, why are the Bruins the only talk when someone gets in trouble? this whole thing with Cooke of Pittsburgh, you will get your revenge when they come here next Thursday. better yet, do not do anything and then see how badly you could look.

wings lost to the flames and that one hurt

what on earth is wrong with the wings? They are blowing a lot of leads

I was hoping they would get strong for the stretch run with all the injured bodies returning but this habit of playing less than 60 minutes is becoming too common

What sucks even more is Nashville won last night too, putting them further ahead of the Flames and Wings.
If the Wings don't make the play-offs, it'll end an 18 year streak for making the post season for them.
The longest in NHL history.
