Is it just me, or do they play nothing but mythbusters anymore? Don't get me wrong I love mythbusters, but it just seems like that's all they play.

Time warp is kickass, didn't like storm chasers much, but i loved deadliest catch. Have you ever seen bizarre foods? Andrew Zimmern has a stomach made out of steel, I like man vs food too.

Dunno what it's like in the USA but over here all they seem to put on is documentaries about Nazis and Sharks though unfortunately in separate programs.

I hardly watch the discovery channel anymore. Mythbusters is a neat show though.

Lol nazis and sharks. I'm fascinated by sharks although they scare the shit outta me. Their anatomy, feeding and everything is amazing. Also the older they get the larger they get (theres a name for that although I can't recall it). There are sharks very deep in the ocean that are enormous because they are extremely old, their called megaladons. Hundreds of feet long and mouths that are as big as a 2 story house when it opens. Fucking amazing!

Sharks were my favorite animal for two or so years before I fell in love with the polar bear. My mind was set on becoming a marine biologist and studying sharks. I love sharks. My favorite kind is the White Tip, my dream is to swim with them :nod: my freaking brother in law (sister's husband, but were close enough I've started calling him bro) went to Hawaii last week, and scuba diving, they swam over one!!! I was so pissed willy_nilly: but happy for him at the same time lol.

I love Mythbusters. No clue why it was on all the time today but I enjoyed it. Also I enjoyed the stuff on the history of the earth.

I like the great white and the tiger shark, the two meanest there is. Everyone thinks that the great white is the biggest man-eater, but it's actually the tiger shark. They eat more humans than any other shark, although the great white has eaten humans of course but only if provoked by one. I like the great white the most because it's one of the oldest species of its kind, it has never evolved because its never had too, the perfect predator.

There was an interesting one on recently, apparently Killer Whales sometimes kill great whites. :eek

Discovery channel used to show some great and far ranging documentries.

From sports to sharks.. Now like you say it's a lot of repeats of Mythbusters or Deadliest catch. Good shows, but not the real point of Discovery.

You're right veronica I forgot about dirty jobs, they do air that alot too. I agree with you zorak, when I was a kid I loved watching the documentaries about all the different things they had, but now it's just shows like them that are good shows, but I wish they would bring back the doc's.

Killer whales are very smart actually, on par with dolphins, and dolphins have been known to kill sharks also to protect theirselves or in some cases a human. It's actually been proven that if a dolphin is in the vicinity of prey that a shark is after the shark will not go near the prey. It either waits or finds something else. Thats crazy that a predator as fierce as a shark, is wary of a dolphin.

They (dolphins) have been known to ward off sharks from surfers too.
