Hey Everyone!

What are your favourite things in life? I'm not talking about money here, but those little things that make you sit back and think "life is alright!"

I'll set the ball rolling. My favourite things are:

The smell of fresh coffee on a Sunday morning
A stroll down the beach on a cool evening
Sitting in a café and watching the world go by
My cat waking me up in the morning by pawing my face

Decorating for Christmas

Watching your kids perform

I could go on and on but will stop there.

My daughter's sleepy little grin when she wakes up in the morning.

The smell of fall leaves in her hair and the way she smells like a little puppy after she has played hard.

The fall sunset and the way the red blazes through my front window, making the whole house look as if it were ablaze.

A warm fireplace.

The peace and quite of the house in the middle of the night with the grandfather clock ticking.

The smell of blueberry pancakes on a Sunday morning

Having an awesome night for no reason in particular and waking up happy and smiling

The crunch of fall leaves underfoot

The look someone gives you that says they love you, maybe even before they've realized it themselves

Driving with the windows down and music up

knowing my wife will be home so we can spend some time together....watching Jeopardy with her...sharing every day with my wife...yeah that's tops....

Smell of wood stoves.
Reese peanut butter cups.
Cooking something new.

Oh! THAT kind of "spoon."

I thought "man that Fred REALLY likes to stir his coffee!"

pulling a fresh load of laundry out of the washer/dryer
having that first, second and third cup of coffee after waking up
ooh and general tso's chicken!
mowing the yard with a beer in my hand (can't have it on the mower or it'll spill and that's alcohol abuse)
doing something handy, like building something from scratch out in the work shop
standing around home depot or lowes hardware store trying to think of wacky project ideas
watching the look on my wife's face when i proudly reveal my latest wacky project

The smell of fresh clean sheets!

Napping through a thunderstorm, smelling the air after it's over.
Walking through puddles and splashing around.
Getting a hug from very strong arms.
Putting a blanket in the dryer before bed and putting it over your body on a winter night.
Making a person laugh or smile.

Really fresh bread with LOTS of butter on it....

The smell of mown grass....

That weird orangey/pink light that sometimes appears after a rainstorm....

Puppy breath....

A brand new car...

The sound of children playing in the distance...

Opening an old book and smelling the pages...

Christmas ... I just love everything about Christmas....
