Today at work while I was at l unch, a guy walk by me, and I heard him say *I got to pray man, I got to pray*, so I figure I guess, he means he has to pray over his food, and he will take a seat close his eyes and thank God for his food, but nope, he went ouside , and look up in the sky, next he put his hand on his heart, then he lean over the floor, and then lay his hand to the floor, he was praying to alla, the god of muslims, most of the people that walk by him, they would stop and stare what he was doing, , and thats when it hit me ,
I wonder how many ppl would stand up for what they believe, no matter in what other might think of , or if they make fun of it.
As for myself, I am a missionarie and at first it was hard for me when other people wouldnt accept me and my religion, and would critize me , So i would hide my religion and never mention it who those who rejected me at first, but now i am brave enough to stand up and say that I love God with all my heart, and I am not ashamed to be a christian, for me is more about having a relationship with God, more than being religious.
I respect the different type of beliefs , and Ill never judge anyone for what they believe in, but if I give them respect , I expect the same respect in return, so anyway my main question is will you stand for what you believe in?????

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... Romans 1:16

It would depend on the situation, tbh. There are some things that are just too opinion-based to argue the point, but there are also some where if I am being insulted for what I believe, then yes.

I've had a bunch of religion conversations with my roomies. Personally, I'm not sold one way or the other. Adrianne believes. But her stance is that she won't push it. Those are the people I can talk to. Not the ones who tell me I'm wrong.

Yes. If I believe it, then I stand up for it, whether it be religion, politics or just a general converstation.

I stand up for what I believe in. I don't however continue to argue about it. I will say my side listen to the other side then I will drop it and agree to disagree.

i stand up for what i believe. i am a christian, however i will not try to shove my religion down your throat, or tell you how much better mine is versus what you believe or dont believe.

the only 'fight' i have gotten into has been with fuzz, as we do have children together and trying to decide how they will be raised when it comes to religion has been a test for us

I stand up for what I believe yeah, and if you deny you do your either a liar or someone who folds easily. Sure other people will have different viewpoints, but it's what you believe in that matters.

I would rather die than hide something I truely believe with every fiber in my being. Hiding it due to being embarassed or uncomfortable would be a slap in the face of those beliefs as well as myself. No, I would rather die than have my beliefs tucked away and hidden due to a fear of embarassment or resentement.

I'm an Atheist, but I don't judge people by their religion. I've met both asses and really nice people from many religions (including Atheists). But anyone who disrespects me for my (dis)belief can go to hell..

I am not a Christian. But, just as I don't push not believing down the Christian's throat likewise I don't want anyone selling me the religion story. If they do, it's on whether here or at my door. The reason I am not a atheist is because they cannot disprove a God or Jesus anymore than the Christian can prove existence. I will say this, more have died in the name of the various "gods" since many began than at the hands of the non-believers. Christian Crusades, witch burners, Pilgrims, Hitler, all the way up to now in the mid east.

I've had many Christians trying to "save me", and it gets slightly annoying after a while. They usually leave after I politely decline their "salvage"... I have to confess that more Atheists in the world would be better, but imposing it by force is not the way to go.

Yes, if I feel passionate about something I WILL stand up for my beliefs. I'm not interested in religion though, so I tend to ignore that one. :surrender
