Ian just find yourself a creek with a few rocks in it and the water going over them. Weld your camera to a tripod and slow the shutter down. It's easier that it looks.

Did you experiment any with capturing the shot in a way that was close enough to 'still' the water? (no worries if not, just wondering).

Yes I did but I once I viewed them at home I didn't like them so in the trash they went. It wasn't a waterfall by any means. Just a little biddy creek. That's why I went with the effect I did.
