The eagles haven't arrived en mass yet so I settled for some scenery type shots today.

This isn't really the top of the world but it sure felt like it while I was driving up. I had about 15 miles of pavement which turned into a logging type gravel road and that went for about 9 more miles. Both stretches had many very sharp hairpin turns and it was hard uphill all the way. It isn't something I want to do in a car again.

Unfortunately I was facing directly into the sun which was behind the clouds so it's a bit washed out but I'm sure you'll still get the idea. Speaking of clouds... I was in 'em for quite a while.

Thanks Fifi. I would love to take the shot with the sun behind me but if I can't get my hands on a 4 x 4 that won't happen. My little rice burner has a real aversion to logging / gravel roads.

On the way up to Hemlock Ski Resort between Mission, B.C. and Agassiz, B.C.

Linky...linky : 20955 Hemlock Valley Road, Agassiz, BC V0M 1A1 - Google Maps

There's an area on the way up there that gets loaded with Bald Eagles. Unfortunately that isn't until the end of October or beginning of November when the salmon start running. I went up there today because there are usually some hanging around and if you look for 'em you can find 'em. Not today. Bastards....

Gosh. That's so very very beautiful. I wish that I was up there right now, I could use some fresh air...
