on my laptop i have vista. i bought office 2007 and loaded it into the computer with no problem. i am using google calander and it automatically sends to my G1 phone with no issue. i was trying to sync google calander with outlook calander and ALL MY SHIT IS GONE!!!! every appointment and meeting is no where to be found. can anyone help at all?

Does Vista have a 'restore' like XP? If it does set it for your restore point and it may bring it back for you.

I tried this for a client and it had some probs so we stopped using google sync and google business account entirely.

It is very likely that when you did the initial sync with google account, google sync assumed google account has all the updated info and removed all conflicts in your local outlook which means they are gone forever. Outlook doesn't really keep a backup.

I would check the google account to see if by chance the outlook data got uploaded and may be resynced again.
