I went to an "Irish Pub" called The Dubliner in Washington DC
and I ordered the Fish and Chips - not because I wanted to be cheesy or nitche, but because I wanted some fried fish and fries
I got this hunk of a piece of fish fried in the batter that was the consistency of cake almost. Or like a corndog - without the cornbread taste. In fact it was almost sweet which kind of turned me off to it. And the fish taste fishy.
Is this how it really is in Ireland?
I have to say I didn't enjoy it, but I am spoilt to Cajun Fish Fry.
