Ian you are a lucky man. We don't have any bugs to speak of here. I spent hours hunting those things today and all I got was one stupid spider.

Ya sure.. little gnats, aphids and stupid crane flies. Yippie.....

Ian I'm not kidding. We really are short of bugs here. I went on a 4 hr. drive yesterday on major highways and the freeway and when I got home I had one small splatter on the windshield and a couple on the hood / bumper.

I'm looking for slugs and not having any luck because it's so dry here. Damn, we need rain bad. I want a pic of a slug.

I can't even find a tree frog and there's usually lots of them around. At times I can hear one or two in the evening but be damned if I can find it.

Butterflies... we have small white ones but they just fly by. I never see 'em land.

We do have regular flies booting around but even those are few and far between. I guess I could go hang around the neighbors chicken farms and snap a million or so but I can't stand the stink.

plant a buddliea,they bring butterflies in.......and bait a few leaves with honey,at least you'll get wasps
