When does life bring anyone perfection?
I don't blame or disown him/her/it/them.... I never followed to begin with.
To each their own though.

If there is a god, I highly doubt he has any actual control over anyones lives, there are just way to many for one person to take care of!
Because it's easier than taking responsibility themselves?

As for the question, I believe it's because God's an easy target and people just use him as an excuse for their lives being in such a mess.

But to extend on it, all the mishaps and personal tragedies in the world, whether you believe in a God or not, I hear people using God as an excuse well... this is proof God doesn't exist or why does God hate me? Am I making sense?
A lot of the misfortunes in the world don't make sense if there really was a god.

Yep you are. People are more than willing to take the credit when things go well, but when things don't go so well, they're tripping all over themselves to blame someone-anyone-else.
