I removed *all* picture boxes ( a control type ) from the form, and now, it just runs on its own, without that picture box stuff.

Yes, I will spam (update) yall on this little project's progress, as I might build a few games off this "engine"... :ninja

For 200 tokenz... What do the Green tiles represent?

The green boxes are prime numbers; 1 is the top left and you go from left to right, dropping a row each time.

Do I get nerd points?

:willy_nilly:

yes. :D

the display is a test of my 'engine' (so @ spidey, it cannot be a game, yet... :ninja) for a buddy; i found it interesting, and played with it for a little.

now i am working on keyboard (cursor -- left, up, down, right) input, and trying to update the screen and all. almost *done* but stupid bug. :(

again, congrats on the points. tokenz shortly. :thumbup

Keeping in mind that I am running on no sleep, this is what I have come up with so far:

With the exception of 2- which is just the oddest prime out there anyhow and breaks all the rules- if the first green square on a given row is in an odd column, so are the other green squares on that row. The next row only has green squares in the even columns. For that matter, a green square either falls in an odd row- odd column or even row-even column. -- Does that have any connection to the cursor position? Are you only allowed to move to green squares? Never mind that last question...

Anything that is a multiple of 3 is not prime- which is obvious, but the way you have the grid set up, it shows things as 0, 3, or 6 mod 9 being all composites. (With the exception of 3)
