Roses are my favorite flower! I have a rose plant on my back porch (3 actually)-- My big one bloomed and the pink roses smelled so wonderful!
you should get some climbers to go up that porch thing zach built......they would thrive going over that

I will eventually do that. He wants to sell the house.. however, I think we should stay there for now... Not sure whats gonna happen. (thats why I havent done much to the back yard yet)

Rose's are my favorite flower too Boss . Especially the yellow ones .
yellow ones are beautiful. I had white roses in my wedding. I use to collect rose stuff.

I went to a nursery which I never do - I usually "borrow" clippings from other people and start my own plant.
But I wanted to make sure it would be a hardy rose that smelled good. Instead I got a mildewey rose whose petals fall off right after they bloom and that doesn't smell.

for a good scent try getting a honeysuckle
they make me sneeze, but they grow wild already in our backyard - I wanted a rose to grow up my kitchen wall

or even get a few packets of night scented stock seeds.....they grow where you sow
Good stuff. When I was a kid we used to have those huge rose bushes all along our back fence, looked good and kept the local kids from climbing over.
