My wife just forwarded an e-mail she rec'd this morning from a friend of hers.

Let’s plan a cook out at your house with swimming. Don’t worry we’ll split the food and drink.

Huh? OK then. I sent my wife a note back and asked when is this happening?

I'm thinking about buying my wife's friend a jockstrap. I wonder if she would get it.:24:

Yeah she does.

I see. I was thinking maybe idle time and she just needed something to do/get excited about if she didn't have a job. Anyways, my wife does this type of thing to me all the time.

"Yeah, we're going out with this other couple on Saturday night."

"Oh really? Glad I could be a part of that decision making process."

My wife tried that with me a few times. Didn't end well for her.

If my wife calls me and says we are going out to dinner with friends I am cool with it unless it is someone I don't care for. I just have a hard time with people volunteering my grill, my pool, my house and my time. Because the yardwork has to be done & the pool vacuumed before company comes over.

Women are naturally more social and more plan oriented. I might invite a couple over to watch a sporting event on TV. I would never volunteer someone eles's home.

Yeah, I get that. Still, I hate, hate, hate, hate others making plans for me when I didn't have any part of them.

I agree that Fred's example is much worse and I would be pissed. Even so, I feel like I run every little decision by her yet don't get the same respect at times.
