i agree about woodstock. my thought process for selecting monterey is that marked the introduction of the most influential guitarist of all time. setting the guitar on fire, like a rolling stone, wild thing, etc. it was all brilliant. woodstock didn't do anything that wasn't done before....it was just bigger. thoughts?

it would get my vote for most historic, though.

yeah, i can see that. i suppose there many angles that one could take with "significant." whether it means for a cause, influential to music, etc.

Wellllllllllllll

Tis your thread, how do you mean it Das?

For my part I answered significant as in on the global stage and the cause, NOT, for the music which was....mostly meh!

i didn't really want to put restrictions/limits on the definition of significant, simply because this way it brings up more discussion and debate.

if your first instinct was for the global cause then you should go with that.

good, glad we got that cleared up. :D

Most significant would be Ozzfest '06 seeing as how that was my first concert where i experienced crowd surfing, moshing, wall of death, and as for the cons I was burnt like a lobster!

As for any of those old concerts... Thats exactly what they are old! and I'm not so they aren't significant to me xD
