Fifi it's a African Spurred Tortoise and yes he / she was quite large. I would venture a guess at about 24'' tip to tip.

Ok Einstein let me fill you in. Imagine standing behind a fence with a 70 - 200 pointing at a whatever you wanna call it. The whatever you wanna call it is about 3' away and said lens will not focus closer than 1.4m which is farther than what I was standing. I had to back up to get what I got which btw is bigger in the shot but........... I couldn't get the entire whatever you wanna call it in the frame becauise the fucking fence was in the way so I was forced to crop the shot.
