yes, there was a fog coming off the lakes of the golf course...at first i thought omg ghosties...lmao but then i was nawww thats dumb.:24:BUT, you couldn't see any of that mist with the naked eye, so i would assume it was off the sprinklers and lakes. Was it a kinda damp night? you have alot of 'orbs' in those photos
thank you!Amazing shots! :thumbup
no tripod just walking around with a steady hand. i was hoping to catch a few bears around the garbage cans of the course. I'll probably try again tonight. Thanks.nice shots
I assume you must have taken a tri pod with you given the darkness.
Yeah if you get away from the city lights it is amazing how many stars. I bet urban kids that never get the chance to get out of the city would be dumbfounded at the numbers up there. We had a cottage on lake michigan as I grew up. When we got older we would go down there and have a few beers and just be in awe at the sky.Awesome pics, and it's been a long time since i've seen that many stars in the sky with all the city lights here.
We can down in the suburbs too. Just that their paths have to be closer to overhead and not near the horizons. Up at a friends place near the top of the Leelenau peninsula we sat out one night and I can't remember how many satellites we saw. Seemed like there was one every 10 minutes.Yep! Country living has its perks. I never miss a chance if the weather permits to check out the night sky. All those stars. And if you sit back and have the patience, you can see satellites too. That's a cool sight!

If you go online you can find the schedule for the space shuttle when it is viewable.
The space shuttle should be visible anywhere in the country at a given time.Yes. It did seem like satellites were that frequent. And if one was lucky enough, you'd see a shooting star or two every once in awhile..... not every night of course.... and I have only seen several so far. Cool none the less though.
I will definitely have to check the space shuttle schedule out. Do you think it would be viewable from here?
