Not really popular demand, 2 people actually. Wanted me to post some older stuff. These two were all I could find
This is one I wrote after a friend committed suicide (I think everyone that writes has one of these)
The Amber Turns to Black
And the Amber turns to black
Wax dives into a hardened shell
Smoke waves above the silenced candle
It seemed to burn itself away
Can you understand?
Being so afraid?
Afraid to melt itself away?
And the Amber turns to black
He's living in a softened shell
He's entranced by the silenced candle
He seems to be burning himself away
He can Understand
He is so afraid
Afraid he'd melt himself away
And the Amber turns to black
He dives into a hardened shell
Red drips from the silenced candle
He was afraid he'd melt himself away
He did understand
Of being so afraid
He feared he'd melt myself away
Try not to judge from your own eyes
You may know the truth
But do you know the lie?
What if you knew this fallacy?
Shall it shape you well?
Or would it bring you to your knees?
And the amber takes the black
The flame dances above his hardened shell
Wax drips from the renewed candle
It seems to be melting our hearts away
I never want to understand
About being so afraid
I fear I'd melt myself away
And another (and more simple) one I wrote, just read it, you'll get it
The Climber
A word once wise
Now trivialized
Our Protagonist does climb
To reach the peek
His treasure seek
The Betraying sands of time
Those who made top
Never seemed to stop
And enjoy their rewarded view
For it's their preference
For their own reference
To look down on those yet to do
So our climber strains
And our climber gains
One foot hole at a time
He'll conquer all
Or claimed by the fall
Yet it's the former that's stuck in his mind
He sees them stare
With disgusted glares
He returns no jealousy
For this is his fight
And to his own right
He's right were he wants to be
