I've seen it a couple times in the past few days where someone has posted pics of their kiddos and then somebody has made a dirty reference...not the kind of thing anyone wants in a family thread...are there any rules about this??? If not, there should be! We shouldn't even have to say it but apparently some people don't get it : /

I find it very unnecessary for someone to make any 'adult' type remarks when it is a thread about children. I would report the person and let the mods handle it. That way, the thread doesn't become a battle ground of sorts.

I'm not quite sure what you want us to do. Would you like us to make a rule that says if a thread has pictures of children that nothing rude could be said? How do you think that would go over? We can't just make different rules for different sections and threads, we just need to act a little more grown up while understanding that there will be people that don't.
I read the posts in question and I didn't see any comments directed towards any children, but I did see a tasteless post that was removed when he was asked by the thread starter. So that actually worked much better than have new rules added.

I think just a simple "reminder" to be or act as a grown up when it comes to respect issues would be in order. There are a few young kids in here and im guessing that is ok for most, however if they want to stick around, they need to adapt to being respectful and discreet about certain things.

Now I know (im guilty of this) of making smart assed remarks about people, making inuendos here and there but its all in good fun and within a certain level of respect. That being said it there is a thin line of playing around and joking and simply being crude and rude disrespectful to others.

Now i magine there cannot be a specific set of rules for every thread like tim said but just a simple community wide reminder something along the lines of:

"HEY! you keep yiour trap shut ya hear, if you a'int got nothing good & RESPECTFUL to say without sounding like a douche then you need to move on little fell'er!!"

meh i guess. Doesn't matter really, because people should have a good enough head on their shoulders to know better...

Unfortunately, most young, teenage boys like the one you were offended by, do have a tendancy to say silly, inapropriate, crude things. I wouldn't worry too much, you asked him to remove it and he did and said sorry, I dont see that there is really a major problem with him at all.;)

its like everything trial and error.. plus when you consider how well we all joke around he may have mistakenly felt comfortable among us.

the one post was made by a 15 year old

I don't think he meant any harm.

And he did quickly remove it when asked
see, if it were just that one post...no biggie...but since then there was one in the thread with Amber & Donnie's son, and also someone mentioned here something about Natasha's nephew or something, though I never saw that one
