So, my computer crashed at work this morning and I was sick and tired of rebooting and having a team leader who just was not willing to help out. I spent 12 miniutes talking with our technology department and now, I am back here and feeling pretty damn good about my part in a solution (yes, the tech department did the hard work) so I just told my other team members to call the tech help desk so they don't have to be left in the dust because of a team leader that wished to hide from responsibility than try to fix it.

I just call the help desk anytime something happens. They're usually good about sending someone right away.

AMEX does things via contract and since this location is inside Airports (some in security and others on landside) these people would need to get visitor badges and the problem with that like all other things is time

I love our helpdesk at work, they're all blokes so I just pretend I know even less than I do about computers and they fix it for me :p

I've also mastered the art of fixing our Identification Card/Badge printer. So yea, I feel like super important. :D

What's a helpdesk??? :24:

Just kidding. We have an IT guy, but he's not on duty when I'm working so if the shit hits the fan I have to call him out. So usually it's a "reboot" order before I go paging him out, LOL To be honest, our computers run 24/7/365...it's a wonder they work as well as they do.
