I've had the best of front row seat to two concerts..

Both times I was left totally disappointed and now I go out of my way to get seats mid stage one level up.

Personally I would chose backstage pass..

Just my Opinion..

Front row seats would be my first choice.

The only concert I've been too was years ago in which I had the worst seats in the house. Next time I won't have a friend purchase the tickets. I'll do it myself.

Backstage pass because that means you probably already were there and had decent seats

I have been front row before and it depends where you are. Twice it was towards the sides and the speakers were right there. I used to love playing music loud but that was absurdly loud at those two concerts

I had both front row seats (not really seats, we stood down in front of the stage) and a back stage pass during an AC/DC- Aerosmith concert back in '78.
Talk about a wild night.
Couldn't hear properly for 3 days.
Everyone sounded like Minnie Mouse when they spoke to me with a hiss in the background.:eek:24:

Front row depending on who the band is. Had second row center seats for Willie Nelson 2 years ago and got some great pics. Some of the women in the audience were a little bizarre though.

I thought about that, too...but I still chose front row. My reasoning being that most celebrities are disappointments to meet anyway, LOL On the other hand, my favorite band isn't mainstream popular except for a few songs...I've already hung out in their dressing room w/ no need for a backstage pass. We just knocked on the door and the guitarist let us in. :tooth

I have seen my favorite performer/band many times. I have had both great seats and not so great seats. As much as I would love to have the greatest seats ever, I'll have to go with the lost opportunity I had many years ago and go with the backstage pass. To this day I still wonder if I could have been Mrs. Bruce Springsteen. :D

Saw Paul McCartney this past December on the freebie :p

Locos Por Juana - would be a fun show to watch, but fuck backstage passes their music is to lively for that
Alex Clare - would def. be a good show to watch backstage would be even better if i would meet the dude for a few minutes.
Distillers (if they were still a band) - Only so I could leg hump Dalle Brody :p but i dont think her husband would like that

It was.
Bon Scott was still with us back then.
Aerosmith were recording their Live Bootleg album during that concert and announced it.
Something happened during the concert where Joe Perry got pissed and threw down his guitar, but they came back and finished up.
Going back stage later, news people were there and police officers running around because of kids smoking pot outside and inside ... and Joe and Steven were very close to getting arrested for complaining about gestapo tactics for cracking down.
This was at Fort Wayne, Indiana...Memorial Coliseum.

The concerts I have seen live.. Beach Boys, Lionel Richie, Loverboy, Trooper, Honeymoon Suite, John Cougar, Michael Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Reba McEntire, Elton John, Elton John with Billy Joel and a batch more of small bands..

By far the best performance was by John Cougar.. No opening act and started on time and rocked for 3 hrs ( one break and three encores ) with no special effects just him on stage and rocking it out keeping the crowd on their feet..

The only other performer coming close was Elton john who sang for about 1 1/2 hrs and was fantastic..

My fav band when I grew up and failed to see was Styx.. They broke up the weekend they were to perform here.. I also really liked the Cars and if I had to choose a third it would have to be Queen.. Freddy Mercury had an awesome voice..
