Most of the time, you'll find Jimmy Rhodes at his family's funeral home in Augusta. "I'm a third generation embalmer and funeral director.”
He's says the family business has helped him serve people and he hopes to have more impact as mayor.
"It's hard getting used to, ‘Mr. Mayor’ or 'How are you doing, Mayor?' I more or less like to be referred to as Jimmy. Just because I was elected mayor doesn't change me, doesn't change who I am," he says.
Voters elected Jimmy in a landslide. He took 82 percent of the vote. Now the 24-year-old may be the state's youngest mayor according the League of Municipalities, although no official record is kept.
