This camera is pretty amazing. It captures all of the available light and give you the option of changing focus after you take the picture.

Check out the samples on the site, click on different areas of the picture and you can change the depth of field.

I saw an advert for this and would LOVE one, I'm always finding the odd shot that focused oddly.

Um? I might be misinterpreting this but:

Living pictures want to be let loose and roam free. When you share them from your Mac*, your friends enjoy the same interactive control as you, on nearly any device, without needing special software.
A Windows application is in development.

Aha! Found it :)

Includes a free desktop application for importing, processing and interacting with living pictures from the camera. It is built for Mac OS and requires Mac OS X 10.6 or higher. A Windows application is in development.

Don't know what to make of it, but I won't be shelling up to $500 for some low res photos :/ Happy with both of my cameras....

I guess you miss the point...

This camera can do something that your camera isn't capable of.

I'm not shelling out a thou for a Mac OSX and then 500 more for a camera. I'd buy a high def camera before that.

This from the site " And focusing after the fact, means no auto-focus motor. No auto-focus motor means no shutter delay. So, capture the moment you meant to capture not the one a shutter-delayed camera captured for you." It's obvious they are talking about suckering the P & S users into buying one of their expensive and rather useless toys.

It's a nice concept and maybe over time they can improve on it but as it stands right now if you refocus and area in a shot an area that was in focus converts to being out of focus.

An interesting combination of things in this camera/software caboodle. Might be worth a look when they improve on its limitations.
