The days of the forum are scarce all over. 5 years ago its all people wanted to do. 5 years before that it was all about chat rooms and making friends that way. at the moment its all about social media. Why discuss something in length when you can take a photo of it and everyone is caught up that way? Its the mind of minions it happens lol. In saying that I love this place, as much as I rarely come on anymore it doesn't mean I don't check in. I can make all of the excuses under the sun for not posting but to be honest I'm lazy. I work, study, spend time with my kids and by the end of the day I'm too lazy to get off my couch to check my computer. It would be a shame to see this place go It has so much potential and I think if it were simplified to the extent it was brought back to the basics it may make things easier to look around. new people join but don't post as they don't see much to post about, every time I check in here I look at threads but rarely reply because I feel I don't know the members that are left and trying to explain myself as being that sort of person to a whole heap of new people is exhausting LOL. I think this place can thrive I guess its a matter of not giving up and giving the new people what they want.....asking new members in a PM why they joined or what stopped them from posting further. I dunno. Apologies for the long winded speech I wanted to separate the rants however I can return for some reason on this computer lol

I have a suggestion that might help get new members. I know that a lot of us post in the invisible mode. But if guests can see that there are members online maybe they will be more inclined to sign up and post. I have also used the invisible mode myself, but o am interested in seeing if being visible would help.

I know it is a personal decision of yours. But it is worth a try people.
