i think this should go into law.... you have to register your vehicle every year why shouldn't you have to test to see if you're still worthy to drive a car? i think if you have an accident that IS your fault your license should immediately be taken and you need to retake the driving test. Too many people have a license and still don't know how to drive properly. not to mention peoples eye sight deteriorates.

sidenote: i have driven.... so u can't use me note having a license against me.

I disagree, I had an accident that was technically my fault. I was driving along in the right lane, I turn my head to make sure that the car in the next lane was behind me so I could change lanes. .At that exact moment the car in front of me slams on his brakes to make a turn he misses, I end up hitting him at 20 miles an hour. Yeah, it was my fault by law. But as far as I'm concerned he was at fault as well for slamming on his brakes to try and make a turn that he missed and should have waited for the next chance to turn.

Why the hell should my license be revoked for something like that, it was all a matter of bad timing.

i dont know what size town hamlet village ciity or metropolis you live in but if you try retesting every licensed driver in say...new york city, there'd be riots in the street. the person getting their license renewed in 5 years only gets it every 5 years, that's .2 visits per year. he's in line 1 time every 5 years. now imagine 10 million plus in line, every fucking year. instead of 2 million every year. that's quintuple the people in line every day.

riots. if you're lucky.

I think once you hit a certain age you should get tested every year. My grandfather was driving up til the day he died...he should have stopped driving 5 years prior. My mom is 59...and although that is young, she is a horrible driver. She drives with 2 feet and is all over the road. She'll end up driving just like her father
