so there i was, attempting to complete 4 or 5 college assignments, when all of a sudden...


Microsoft Office applications (Access and Word) just dont work.

Access cant do shit, because it "cannot connect to the OLE Server, please restart the service outside of Access" ... um.. what the fucking hell? i dont even have an OLE server service in my services list.

Word locks up like a mofo.

cant even type a freaking paragraph.

oh yes, and my first paper is due tomorrow.

the four or five assignments that i have, are due at midnight, us est.

the "OLE Server" service was renamed to "DCOM Server Process Launcher" ...

forgetful microsoft for forgetting to update their error messages.

now i got MS Access back, as well as VB6, but i still dont get the issue with Word locking up...

Man I know your pain. remembering countless phone call at 1 in the morning"My paper ios due tomorrow and word wont work"(or the worst, "it crashed and I didnt save it...can you recover it") If worst comes to worst google has an online office app you can use. It works and will get you out of a bind.
