Toes in the water...
Every other time I open a page I get this:
If your DSL modem does not currently detect a DSL signal or is having problems connecting, please check the following possibilities.
!!!!! If you just ordered a NEW DSL Internet connection, it's possible your DSL service has not yet been turned on. Please wait to install the equipment until after 7PM on your Due Date provided by your sales agent. This will ensure your DSL line has been activated. Your Due Date is available under the EMBARQ(TM) High-Speed Internet section of your EMBARQ(TM) Order Confirmation Letter.
1. Verify that the telephone cable is still properly connected between a working wall jack and the modem port labeled DSL.
2. If you are using a Dual Line filter where your DSL connection is shared with the phone, make sure the modem is connected to the port labeled DSL on the Dual Line filter.
3. Make sure ALL phones, fax machines, satellite boxes, and other devices that connect to a phone jack have a DSL phone filter attached only if filters were provided in your kit.
4. If you ordered a Static IP address, you may need to complete the configuration process for your modem. Use the IP Address, Subnet and Gateway listed in a separate letter sent to you from EMBARQ.
If you still do not have Internet connectivity after checking the above you may need to call tech support.
I am using the wireless at the campground. Am I about to be without internet?
