WTF Perhaps it is the 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy which is not allowing to win the 'war on terror' even after a
lapse of long 10 years! Will repealing this law ensure Victory in any war in the future??

By a Vote of 65 to 31, Senate Votes to Repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

The Senate on Saturday voted to repeal the Pentagon's ban on
gay men and lesbians serving openly in the military. By a
vote of 65 to 31 and following House approval, the Senate
sent the bill to President Obama, who had campaigned on
ending the policy known as "don't ask, don't tell," which
allows gay members of the armed forces to serve only if they
keep their sexual orientation a secret.

More than 12,500 service members have been discharged since
the policy was mandated by Congress in 1993. A Pentagon
report released on Nov. 30 concluded that allowing gays to
serve openly in the armed forces presents a low risk to the
military's effectiveness, even at a time of war, and that 70
percent of service members believe that the impact of
repealing the law would be either positive, mixed or of no
consequence at all.

People have short memories. The regulations are still in place prohibiting homosexuals to serve. The policy prohibited asking. Repealing DADT only allows a commander to ask. Homosexuals would still be in danger of being kicked out of the military for being homosexual.

The regulation prohibiting PDA (public displays of affection) is enough. Any reg referring to homosexuals need to be deleted ... quietly. There's no need for hoopla.

Yeah, a repeal to WHAT? What was it before DADT? Wasn't it "be open and get kicked out"? Once it is repealed then won't the next step for the military be to "not discriminate based on sexual orientation"?

Probably every individual in the military and outside the military has some kind of characteristic that prevents them from doing their job competently. As long as any institutuion as "the right" to assess capability without fear of accusations and lawsuits, then I'm all for it.

You are a damn trolling idiot, accusing and comparing Pakistan with America...
Everybody knows that America is gays paradise!
Homosexuality is illegal in Pak ....but legal in America. You obviously have no reason to compare one with the other unless you are bent upon deceiving yerself.

It has already been documented in another thread why PK has a high number of gays.

Whether something is legal or not does not determine how many are committing such acts.
Karachi is a gay mans paradise..its already been proven.

Man's arguments that Pak has a large homosexual population have been compelling, mazHur, even though it's illegal.

Pak does lead the world in online searches for animal/human sexual encounters and shemale videos....... and you are the only member at OTZ that has posted a desire to watch dogs having sex with men and women.
Not a lot of 'straight' sex getting press in Pakistan.

And these 'circle jerks' at touristy Pak shrines......what's with that when it's supposed to be illegal?

Does sound like he has spent to much time on the high seas...perhaps yelling at slave labor all those years has shifted into his daily vocabulary.
Not very "lordish" for sure.

Interesting point.
mazHur Butt built up his father's seafood business, Mekran Fisheries, on the sale of shrimp, the same business model he condemns for it's usage of slaves.
