I clicked on the forum, didn't see anything new so I went to come back here and that title caught my eye...

I have many colored friends. Little Rock, which is the capital of the state, has the majority of the colored people. I have no problem with them whatsoever

Ah yes, good ole "all southerners are racist" mentality. I just love it. I can't believe that there are still some people who think that even in this day and age. Sure, racism still exists. But it is everywhere, not just in the south.

You know what I hate, fakers. You know the ones that say they are not prejudice but realley are.
I cant stand White people trying to act like a Gangsta also.
I try to look at the individual and not the group or race as a whole but I see alot of stereo type Perpetration going on, and everyone thinks it's cool to act and do these things. It's only makes them fit the profile.
Now, I live in an upper middle class neighborhood. I have Black next door neighbors. I like the Dad and the Mother, we are freindly and I try to suuport them with there problems the best way I can. The trouble is they have 4 Boys. The oldest has been arrested on narcotics and an illegal hangun. He was finally thrown out of the house and returned to jail. The second oldest soon followed in his older brithers footsteps. He was shot and busted for dealing Drugs. He is out on probation. The third child was a Sophmore in High school. He has been permanently ejected from school for violence. He is still at home but dosent want to do home school, so he just's smokes his herb and walks around the neighbor hood wearingh his baggy ass trousers and wife beater tshirt. He Also likes to carry around a Pistol in his Pants pocket. Turns out it is a Glock lookalike bb pstol but there agin the profile tyoe is there. The youngest idolizes his brothersand will curse his mom whern his dad is not there to discipline him he is about 11 yrs old. What I dont understand is that these young men and child Never had to go without anything form there parents. They have Motorcycles, AtV's. jetskis sitting on the Dock by the canal that leads out to the Chessapeake bay. They have always lived in a good neighborhood where they didn't have to fight or join a gang to survive.
So I figure they do this because they see the Rappers and Gangsters on TV and the the Music influences them to perpetuate the stereo types that there fatheres and fathers fathers struggled and fought to shed. Now we have black actors and comedians and Rappers calleng there brothers Nigger like its a pet name.
But isn't it Ironic that on the other hand my Daughters fiance is black. he comes from a lower to middle income family. He is very respectfull to everyone he meets is very intelligent. A great Musician and athelete also. He lived in a neighborhood that had some gang activity and one of his brothers went to jail also. But he did not want to be like his Brother or like some of the young people that were doing drugs and getting into trouble.

Everyone is prejudice! I find that blacks and hispanics are really prejudice. I am just a 34 year old white male and I feel like I am treated unfair by other people of other color. Jews can be bad too. I don't really care. I think its their right to be that way. I don't really think it hurts me that much.

I live in Arkansas, and I'd have to agree that eastern arkansas is litered with rednecks and uneducated people...but I live in northwest arkansas (which is by far the richest and best part of arkansas) and northwest arkansas as little uneducated people and pretty much no rednecks..and our schools score way above the national average in standardized tests.
so my point is, is that yes most of arkansas is pretty bad, but not all of it...so if someone says "oh he's from arkansas, must be a redneck" they're probably incorrect.
