Would you get your kids a Playboy subscription?

I lived with my Grandmother for most of my life, and only my 12th birthday she got me a subscription to Playboy (I swear to God).

Would anyone else do this for their kids? I would not, not because it had some terrible impact on me or anything, I just think that it's not appropriate to do so.

If I have kids and they want to look at tits and stuff, they can seek it out on the web.

Would I go out of my way to get my kid a playboy subscription like your grandma did, no not at 12.. Maybe 16 or 17 but not at 12 but why waste my money I would make them work for it..

Would I be up front and discuss in a manner appropriate for the age about such subject, yes as kids are not stupid..

But you have to chose carefully how you tell them things in words they will understand and not exceed the answer..

I may do... Not that I have any kids but... At the end of the day. Its the better the devil you know and all... If you don't provide the things which goes through every adolescent mind they will get it another way.
I'm not saying get it for them at 5-10 years old but around 14ish why not... Not playboy though hustler mag haha...

I wouldn't. Not because I think porn is completely wrong for teenagers - I maybe wouldn't hope they start looking at 12 but come on, they'll look, you can't stop that, it's normal to be curious.

However, I think there is a line between a teen and their parents when it comes to sex, and most people are more comfortable if everyone stays on their own side. There's no way I would have wanted my mum asking whether I was more into watching lesbians or straight couples :ninja your sexual preferences are very much a personal thing, and having your parent attempt to be a part of the experience, even very indirectly? No fucking thank you.

Hideously embarrassing for everyone involved. I'm not going to make my kids ashamed of sex, or bring them up to think it's something awful and taboo, but I'm also not going to kid myself that any teen wants to get their mum involved in their sex life!
