And interesting article on the Status of the country you live in and how it was ranked.. There are two parts to this article so I will post both the main link and the sub link that shows how they rated each country..

The main Article about the Worlds Best Country
http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/15/interactive-infographic-of-the-worlds-best-countries.html

The link that provides the guidelines on how they ranked the countries..
http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/15/world-s-best-countries-categories-metrics-and-methodology.html

The main article if you are interested..
http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/16/best-countries-in-the-world.html

Note the map on the front article does not match the rankings in the list. I would imagine this was just for illustrations and might have been the older rankings but I could not find any comments or history on that :p

Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long Holly.

Apparantly Zorak is right (there's a first time for everything I suppose :D )

Scandinavia[1] is a region in northern Europe that includes Denmark and the Scandinavian Peninsula's two nations, Norway and Sweden. Finland is sometimes considered a Scandinavian country in common English usage, and Iceland and the Faroe Islands are sometimes also included, although this usage is considered incorrect in Scandinavia

Consider the top three countries on the list- Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden are highly socialistic. Imagine. Maybe our conservative forum members can chime in on how this is possible. Wait, I know..... it's all a lie, liberal bias published in a liberal rag! ;)

I'm sorry, but any country like Finland or Iceland where it costs $10-$20 for a pint is a bloody hell hole!
