Kickass book, and I was hoping it would be a half decent movie.


Don't know if you've heard, but it's not going to be ANYTHING like the book. And halt you naysayers who are about to tell me the movie is never anything like the book.


Yes, in rare awesome circumstances the movie is VERY SIMILAR to the book, and has even at time captured the book's essence.

However, they aren't even trying with this one.

What was my dearly beloved lover Brad Pitt thinking when he signed up for this movie?

What did they change?

I've read the book and enjoyed it despite being sort of over this whole zombie thing -- books like World War Z, games like Dead Island, for example, I still like -- but I don't exactly remember explicit details about the plot and whatnot. I knew a movie was being made but haven't followed it.

I like the oral narrative aspect of the book that focuses more on individual stories, but I'm assuming they aren't doing that for the movie, which makes me think that an HBO mini-series would have been better for it anyway.

Yes way better! For the movie they're making it seem like Brad Pitt is a US general holding down america.
